About The Grant
In 1998, WomensNet created the Amber Grant to honor Amber Wigdahl, whose entrepreneurial dreams were tragically cut short at the age of 19. Today, WomensNet continues this legacy by awarding a minimum of $30,000 each month through the Amber Grant. This initiative includes several grant opportunities for women entrepreneurs, including the Monthly Amber Grant, the Startup Grant, and the Annual $25,000 Amber Grant.
Program Overview
The Amber Grants are designed to support women-owned businesses in both Canada and the United States. Applicants need only submit one application to be considered for all relevant grants. The grants are aimed at providing financial support to women entrepreneurs at various stages of their business journey.
Grant Types:
- Monthly Amber Grant: Awarded monthly, providing $30,000 to one recipient.

Application Window
